If the principle components of an event are the boat and the meal, attention must also be paid to the personal touches brought by the decor and entertainment.

Depending on your budget, the boat and the port you have chosen, you can consider the following:

•  Your own personalised quay-side decoration, (banners, streamers, staging, floral decoration, illuminations, balloon archways);

•  Entertainers at the start of the event, such as an orchestra or piano-bar during the aperitif, or more unusual attractions such as living statues or clowns.

•  Entertainment at the table, cartoonists, magicians, or musicians moving from table to table;

•  Entertainment after the meal, which can involve dancing (to a DJ or an orchestra), games (casino or quizzes) or stage shows

My advice: put part of your budget aside for floral decorations (even if it is just for welcome bouquets and table decorations), and also for making a photographic record of your event, which is an excellent way of adding a personal touch and keeping a souvenir which you can share.
